Committee amends Right to Try reporting bill and reports it 'ought to pass'

Committee members questioned whether a full-time hire would be required; Prentiss and department staff said the final staffing need could be reduced if the work were synchronized with other systems work.
The committee moved a technical amendment to change reporting and effective dates (e.g., move an interim reporting date from 02/01/2027 to 02/01/2028 and align the effective date to 07/01/2027), and members adopted the amendment by voice vote. The committee then voted that SB 616 is 'ought to pass' with the amendment and sent it forward with the committee amendment.
