Representative Lukens introduced a video tribute and asked members to recognize Williams’s family and longtime colleagues in the gallery. Several members noted his role representing Western Slope agricultural interests and his later work in government relations.
The memorial text cited Williams’s induction into the Colorado Agricultural Hall of Fame and service as chair of several legislative committees, and it acknowledged survivors including his partner Bob Simpson and children Jeff and Dana Williams. The House proceeded to a machine vote and the memorial was adopted with a 65–0 recorded vote.
