Salem County adopts grouped resolutions on contracts, grants and public‑works projects

At its Nov. 5 meeting the Salem County Board unanimously approved grouped resolutions covering administrative contracts, settlement, grant applications and multiple public-works actions including engineering and jurisdictional agreements for Route 40 and roundabout design in Pittsgrove Township.
The Salem County Board of County Commissioners unanimously adopted bundled resolutions Nov. 5 covering administrative, public-safety, health and public‑works matters.
Administrative committee items included authorization to use competitive contracting for catering services for the Office on Aging; award of a contract under a New Jersey state contract (42261T0849) for above‑ground fuel tanks and associated installation work; contracts for uniforms for sheriff and correctional staff; a transfer-of-funds resolution; and a settlement agreement with the Salem County Superior Correction Officers Association.
Public-safety and related actions adopted included an amended endorsement for the Youth Services Commission 2026 plan update and authorization for the YSC to apply to the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission for multiple program funding streams for 2026; acceptance of an OxyChem first responder donation for the county hazardous materials response team; and an application for the Bureau of Justice Assistance Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program.
Health and human services approvals covered county property use agreements, submission of the 2026 Area Plan grant to the NJ Department of Human Services Division of Aging Services, amendments and change orders for Older Americans Act services, and change orders for substance-use disorder treatment services. The board also approved an agreement with New Jersey Transit for a vehicle transfer under Federal Transit Administration provisions.
Public Works resolutions approved included acceptance of funding for the NJ Department of Health tick surveillance program, a state equipment use agreement, award of engineering services for final design and construction engineering for roundabouts at 5 Points and 6 Points in Pittsgrove Township, and a 50/50 jurisdictional agreement with the New Jersey Department of Transportation for a portion of Route 40. Several extension requests were approved related to local bridge fund programs.
All resolution groups were moved, seconded and approved without recorded opposition during the Nov. 5 session. County staff told the board that specific contract and award details will be posted to the county website with the formal resolution documents.
