Resident urges Salem County support for South Jersey preservation, cross-county collaboration

Thomas urged starting a cross-county coalition with Gloucester and Cumberland counties so "select commissioners from each county can meet and discuss opportunities and challenges facing their respective counties" to increase presence in Trenton, strengthen lobbying power and better address regional disparities. She also said municipalities considering shared services have concerns about affordability, how to set up video-recording systems, and other operational issues.
Thomas closed by thanking commissioners who attended recent events and congratulating Commissioner Collier on a recent appointment. Her remarks were delivered during the public comment portion of the meeting and were not attached to a formal agenda item or board action.
