Council approves minor subdivision and lot consolidation on Lincoln Avenue

The Souderton Borough Council on April 7 approved a minor subdivision and lot-line adjustment that consolidates and enlarges parcels including 459 Lincoln Avenue and 70 South 5th Street, both located in the R-1 Residential zoning district.
Council staff described the transaction: a currently vacant lot of 6,520 square feet at Spruce Alley/South 5th would be subdivided and consolidated with the property at 459 Lincoln Avenue to increase that parcel to approximately 9,765 square feet; separately, the lot at 70 South 5th Street would increase to about 8,500 square feet. Staff said Gilmore & Associates and the Montgomery County Planning Commission reviewed the application and recommended approval subject to conditions.
The council added a condition addressing a preexisting shed on one of the parcels and incorporated the review letters into the resolution. Following discussion the council moved, seconded and recorded an "Aye" vote to approve the minor subdivision and lot-line adjustment.
