Vice Chair Walters moved to adopt the dash-2 amendments dated 02/19/2026, saying, "I move to adopt the dash 2 amendments dated 02/19/2026." Following that, Walters moved that "House Bill 4014 as amended [be moved] to the floor with a due pass recommendation and add a subsequent referral to the ways and means committee." Representative Marsh, after an earlier light remark, urged support for the measure: "Having made a somewhat flippant remark, let me just say I think this is really important content... I support it." Marsh said the issues are complex and that a dedicated group taking time to study them and report back "seems like a good approach."
