At its session the Planning and Zoning Commission elected new leadership and approved several land-division actions.
Leadership: The commission acknowledged the prior chair's resignation and moved to elect a new chair and vice chair. A motion to nominate Robert Ridley for chair was seconded and approved by voice vote; the commission also nominated and elected Tony Crawford as vice chair.
Plats approved: Staff (Peyton) presented several plats and recommended approval for each. - Horizon Lakes Master Plan Community, infrastructure Phase 1: staff said the final plat "facilitates installation of supporting infrastructure and dedication of required easements" and designates 73 residential lots and 8 common areas. The commission approved the final plat unanimously. - Horizon Lakes infrastructure Phase 2: staff recommended approval; the phase designates 35 residential lots and 6 common areas and the commission approved the final plat. - Horizon Lakes Village 3 Phase 1: staff recommended approval; the final plat designates 105 residential lots and 1 common area and was approved by the commission. - Sonoma Verde North Tract (preliminary plat): staff clarified this item is preliminary; the tract covers approximately 315 acres and the preliminary plat designates 691 residential lots, 31 open-space lots and one amenity center. The commission moved, seconded and approved the preliminary plat.
Staff told the commission that the plats are consistent with previously approved development agreements and that approvals at this meeting facilitate moving projects toward construction. No public commenters spoke on these items during the meeting. The meeting adjourned after administrative items and scheduling discussion.
