Organizers and library staff used the Nov. 4 Souderton Borough Council meeting to recap fall community programming and preview upcoming events.
Jessica Simini reported that the recent Third Fridays season concluded "a huge success," with family activities, vendors and positive community response. Simini said the event team is evaluating whether to reduce the number of street-closure events in order to ease sidewalk crowding and help vendors engage shoppers more effectively. She also reported small grants were awarded to local businesses for façade/window work and highlighted a recent ribbon-cutting and a 25th‑anniversary celebration for a local chiropractic practice.
Penny Price of the public library outlined three upcoming events: a "Touch a Truck" family event (scheduled for Saturday at 12 p.m.), a WHYY-hosted post-election program at the library, and a wine-tasting fundraiser moved from November to February (ticket holders will have tickets honored at the rescheduled date). Price said the library will continue to host community programming and encouraged residents to attend.
Council members thanked organizers and noted staff will follow up on planning details. The council encouraged residents to watch for event postings on borough channels.
