Satterton Connect and the library outline 2025 events, façade grant and new services

Representatives of Satterton Connect and the Souderton library used the Feb. 3 meeting to publicize events and local business-support programs.
A Satterton Connect board representative noted new executive-board appointments — Kylie Harrington (president), Bailey Pratt (secretary) and Stephanie Cross (treasurer) — and said the group will have each board member visit at least two businesses per month to improve outreach. The group has scheduled a ribbon-cutting for Broad Street Italian Cuisine on Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. to welcome new ownership (Giovanni Vasaglia) and a Business Bites event on Feb. 24 featuring Quakertown National Bank on cybersecurity for small businesses. The presenter said Satterton Connect awarded its first 2025 façade grant to iCurious Atelier to cover exterior-staircase work and plans to involve prior grant recipients in reviewing new applications.
Penny Price, speaking for the library, said February is "Love Your Library" month and highlighted a free community mini-golf event on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. She also described new patron resources: a Consumer Reports subscription accessible to cardholders, 19 local museum passes available for day trips, and a "library of things" collection that includes items such as a pressure washer, telescope and a mini projector.
Both presenters invited residents to visit the organizations’ websites for registration details and to contact presenters for further information. Council did not take formal action on these items; both reports were informational.
