Summer 2026 bid package and budget impact: The board voted to forward the recommended bidders and alternates for the summer 2026 bid package. Staff summarized the bid-day numbers: a bid-day subtotal reported as $1,366,005.64 and contingency/allowance items (site signage, unsuitable soil allowance, construction support and owner contingency) totaling $321,096, producing an estimated project total of $1,807,660. Administration said the work would spend the remainder of the district’s bond funds and would utilize about $1,200,000 of district savings; they also noted the potential arbitrage payment would be proposed to be covered by general-fund dollars.
