Edgerton council approves event permits, multiple liquor/tobacco renewals, $5,115 pollinator contract and developer agreement

The Edgerton City Council on May 30 approved a slate of routine licenses and contract awards, including permits for an upcoming event and multiple liquor and tobacco license renewals.
Council members moved unanimously to approve the event packet for Chillomania and Country Edge, which requires the event to pay half of overtime for law-enforcement officers, ends alcohol ticket sales at 11:30 p.m., and sets music and ticket-redemption to end at midnight. The council also approved temporary Class B beer/wine licenses for Chillomania and Country Edge and a temporary Class B license noted for the Edgerton Chamber, each as recorded on the agenda.
In a single combined motion, the council approved Class B combination beer-and-liquor license renewals for a list of businesses (including Town and Country, 2 Brothers Bar & Grill, Cafe on Main, El Patron Mexican Grill, Last Night Bar and Grill, Henry Street Social and others), contingent on payment of outstanding charges. The council likewise approved Class A beer license renewals for entities including QuikTrip and related franchise locations, and renewed cigarette, tobacco and electronic vaping-device licenses for several retailers; those license renewals were grouped for efficiency and passed on roll call.
Councilors also awarded the 2025 pollinator-planting maintenance contract to Tall Grass at a low bid of $5,115. The motion to award the contract was made and carried by roll call vote.
On development matters the council approved the assignment of the developer agreement for 407 North Main Street to an LLC; council members stated the assignment would not alter the project’s principal elements before voting to approve the assignment.
Most licensing votes and contract approvals were passed on unanimous voice or roll-call votes as recorded in the minutes. The meeting proceeded to additional agenda items and later moved into a closed session to discuss property negotiations under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(e).
The council’s actions covered a mix of event permitting, business-license renewals and small-scale public-works contracting; several approvals were explicitly contingent on payment of outstanding charges by licensees, and the pollinator contract award was the only item with a recorded dollar amount ($5,115).
