The county clerk told the council that several voter-registration desks in the clerk’s office are worn and no longer lock, and requested authority to purchase replacement desks and a locking cabinet.
She said she purchased one table for $922.88 from the election fund and that Uline quoted $4,878.08 for six desks and a cabinet. The clerk proposed funding the cabinet from the clerk’s records perpetuation fund and paying portions of the desks from Title IV incentive money and other clerk funds. She told the council the total appropriation needed for the six desks would be $3,592.08, including shipping.
A motion to advertise for the additional appropriation was made and the council approved the motion by voice vote.
