Azusa Unified gets clean audit; board accepts 2023–24 and 2024–25 reports

The Azusa Unified School District board accepted the district and Measure K audit reports for 2023–24 and 2024–25 during the Feb. 10, 2026, meeting after an auditor presented clean findings.
"We are pleased to present the results of this year audit," the auditor Garima said. She reported an unmodified (clean) opinion on the district’s financial statements, no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies in internal control over financial reporting, an unmodified opinion on major federal award program compliance, and a clean state program compliance opinion.
Garima summarized the findings: "The financial statement audit is unmodified...We received an unmodified clean opinion on the financial statement." District staff and board members thanked the auditors and cabinet for the work and noted the results reflect collaborative effort by finance, HR and education services. The board approved acceptance of the audit reports by voice vote; no questions were raised during the public session.
The auditor noted the timeline pressures for submitting year-end audits and thanked district staff for support during the process. Board members emphasized that a clean audit reflects strong financial controls and compliance with state and federal requirements.
