City staff described the project as a reconstruction of Ward Road to a two-lane cross section — one lane in each direction — with bicycle lanes and sidewalks on both sides. Jordan said the work includes construction of a roundabout at the intersection of NW Ward Road and NW Blue Parkway. To accommodate that work, the city announced the intersection will close beginning Friday, Feb. 13, and will remain closed "until approximately June"; the briefing did not provide a specific reopening date.
The announcement also said a section of NW Blue Parkway between NW Executive Way and NW Ward Road will be closed while construction is underway. Residents seeking more information were directed to the project webpage at cityofls.net/ward.
