Following the Logistics Drive deferral, the Wilson County Planning Commission handled routine site plans, plats and subdivisions and approved them by voice vote.
Staff recommended approval for a roughly 650‑square‑foot kitchen addition at Cedar Creek Yacht Club to ease catering operations; the commission approved the site plan, subject to paying a stormwater fee. A site plan to convert a recently rezoned property on Castlefield Pike to a dental office (Cockrell Dentistry) was approved; staff noted the applicant must remit a stormwater fee ($143 for the sign, as stated during the meeting). An Assurant monument sign replacement near Aldi Boulevard and a Martin Marietta shop and office plan (company representative Matt McCoy identified himself as regional land manager) were approved with technical corrections. The commission also approved Speedway Industrial Park Phase 2 (Lot 17) and a Dollar General on Woods Ferry Road following brief applicant responses about access and monument sign location.
On subdivisions, the board approved a Larry Odom subdivision on K Row Bend Road with the condition that the gas provider provide written approval before lots can be released, because the parcel lies within a pipeline corridor. Staff also presented multiple staff‑approved plats and minor amendments (including a resubdivision for the James H. Rye Farm and soils/setback amendments for Needmore Green and Barton’s Cove) and the commission affirmed those approvals.
Staff announced a tentatively scheduled Oct. 29 session with the Greater Nashville Regional Council to present land‑use plan survey results and said it plans a series of four public meetings across the county to gather input before drafting plan options. The commission then adjourned.
