Regional planning committee elects officers, adopts agenda at Jan. 26 meeting

Members of the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments' regional planning committee met by Zoom on Jan. 26, 2026, and completed organizational business before a staff briefing on the new housing law.
A motion to appoint Vicky Harris as temporary chair for the meeting was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Frank DeFelice was nominated and approved as chair by voice vote without recorded opposition. Raul (listed in the meeting packet as Raul de Bridal) was nominated and accepted as vice chair, and Mary Stone was elected secretary.
The committee also adopted the meeting agenda and accepted minutes from the November meeting by voice votes. No formal policy votes were taken during this portion of the meeting.
The meeting proceeded to staff reports and a detailed presentation from RiverCOG staff on Public Act 25-1.
