Superintendent highlights band uniform fundraiser, donated flight simulator and student robotics qualifier

Highlights included recognition of a multi‑year fundraising effort to replace 25‑year‑old marching band uniforms, completed with a generous matching donation from Dr. John Zigler in memory of Dr. Judy Ziegler. The superintendent thanked the Milton High School band community, the music department staff and local donors for supporting the campaign.
The Milton Middle School Library Media Center received a donated, state‑of‑the‑art flight simulator from the nonprofit Students in Aviation; staff thanked Tina Norman for coordinating the donation and a launch event. The superintendent also congratulated Renoir Clayton Hudson, a member of the high‑school robotics team, for qualifying for the Wisconsin state robotics championship.
The superintendent noted winter athletics are underway and that the district will honor longtime Milton educator and coach Rod Hilton at an upcoming halftime recognition. He also referenced media reports about a court decision concerning Act 10, advising the board the district is taking a "wait and see" approach pending final judgments and legal guidance.
The board offered thanks to donors and to staff involved in these programs.
