Rockport Fulton ISD leaders used the Feb. 19 meeting to highlight student success in Career and Technical Education and to present the district’s annual performance report.
Amber Ladd reported 605 students participate in CTE programs districtwide; 92 seniors are expected to be program completers this year and 60 have already earned industry‑based certifications. Nursing science reported a 100 percent pass rate in clinical certification modules and culinary arts reported a 98 percent pass rate for industry certifications.
Ladd said the Pirate P‑TECH Academy’s first freshman cohort enrolled 81 students this year and is expected to grow. The district is building partnerships with local employers including the Port of Corpus Christi and is developing internship and pre‑apprenticeship pathways.
Christie Weedy presented the annual report compiled from campus TAPR documents, the district financial standards report and campus performance objectives. She noted the most recent available accountability data are from 2023–24, and the 2024–25 accreditation status will be released in the spring; the board opened the report for public comment with none offered.
Trustees praised student accomplishments and the work of teachers and program staff; the board received the reports and no formal action was required.
