Beaufort County bulletin: hospital board, transportation and planning bodies meet today

Later today, the Beaufort County Citizen-Directed Transportation Advisory Committee meets at 1 p.m. in Port Royal Town Hall (700 Paris Avenue). Lisa Selka, former Bluffton mayor, chairs the committee; Libby said the committee must submit a final list of project recommendations to county council by Monday, May 11. The Beaufort County Transportation Committee will hold a virtual special-call meeting at 4 p.m. to consider a bid for Year 9 resurfacing, with meeting links and an agenda posted on the county calendar.
On Hilton Head Island, the Town Design Review Board will meet at 2:30 p.m. in the town chambers at 1 Town Center Court to discuss proposed updates to the town’s design guide and next steps for advancing the update; Libby said the meeting will be simulcast on BCTV and on the county’s YouTube channel. The Bluffton Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. in the Henry E. McCracken Jr. Council Chambers (20 Bridge Street) to consider preliminary approval for a Hilton Head Medical Center LLC development plan within the Buckwalter planned unit development and to elect officers.
