The facilities committee ratified Dec. 9 a donation of $878 in plants and shrubs to Radnor High School from the Ithan Land Bank, a newly formed nonprofit organized by the boys' soccer coach.
Administrator said the donation funded planting along Harding's Run behind the Salt Building, below Library Field and next to Creek Field, where students and coach volunteers planted trees and shrubs to stabilize the bank and restore vegetation after erosion. The activity combined community volunteer labor and materials donated by the Ithan Land Bank.
Committee members thanked the coach and the soccer team for their volunteer work.
