S4, a committee member leading the update, said the textile recycling program collected 5,500 pounds of material from its start in April through Dec. 19 and that the household hazardous waste event contributed about 1,000 pounds. "So far, we started in April. And up until December 19, we had 5,500 pounds of textiles recycled," S4 said.
