Chair (Speaker 1) said the hearing will take place at 7 p.m. and public comment is scheduled near the top of the agenda. Staff described the proposed alignment as running from New Britain Avenue along the south side of Middle Road and indicated the new segment will provide connections to Jensen Lane and local schools. One staff speaker estimated the new sidewalk would be about a 5-foot width (noted as approximate).
Committee members asked that the posted plan be shared when available so members can review and, if they support the project, prepare comments. Staff agreed to distribute the plan to committee members and to notify the group when it is posted online. Members also discussed outreach options, including sharing details with neighborhood and school communities.
