The board then approved the district’s annual safety plan, required by state law, after staff said there were no substantive changes beyond updates to emergency contact sheets, communication templates and building maps. Ms. Crosby moved to approve the safety plan and Mr. Helmer seconded; the presiding officer called the vote and the motion passed.
An employment compensation report discussed in closed session was returned as an action item in open session. A motion to approve the employment compensation report was made by Ms. Bindler and seconded by Ms. Crosby; the motion carried.
Board member Mr. Seidel read donation receipts for Eisenhower High School: $2,000 from Joseph Mallinger for girls golf, $554 from the Ike Band Boosters Association to cover bus overage costs, and an in‑kind donation valued at $1,376.87 from the Ike Football Booster Club (drone and supplies), for a total of $3,930.87.
Staff presented a first reading of 13 policy updates compiled by Neola (identified in the transcript as the district’s policy consultant) under its semi‑annual "33‑2" update; the board asked members to submit feedback before the items return for approval at a future meeting.
