Bob Bull, a Vietnam veteran and local veterans’ advocate, accepted the proclamation and described his motivation, including the loss of his granddaughter and the need to reduce stigma and increase community support for people in crisis. Bull urged residents to post informational stickers publicly to increase awareness of 988 and related resources.
The council thanked Bull and noted the city’s intent to place stickers on city vehicles and pursue broader visibility for the crisis line and local supports.
