Trustees expressed interest and caution: several asked for vendor references and actual case studies from other agencies, and the village attorney asked that any agreement include standard contract provisions (an out if funds are not appropriated, attorney review, and termination conditions). The fire department representative said the software could also help with mutual-aid accountability and floor-plan uploads. The board authorized the budget transfer and approved staff to enter into the three-year agreement subject to village attorney review and insertion of standard budget/appropriations protections.
