Moses Lake honors lifesaving responders and launches SeeClickFix for service requests

Police Chief David Sands introduced officers Cameron Duke and Cesar Sandoval; Chief Sands described their training and local ties and presented them to the council. Fire Chief Barillo presented three incidents in which bystander CPR, AED use and off‑duty intervention helped keep patients alive; staff reported that, "Since September, Moses Lake's Utstein survival rate is 75 percent." Survivors and responding providers were invited forward to receive plaques.
In a separate presentation, Liz Murillo Busby introduced SeeClickFix, a customer‑service web and mobile platform integrated with the city's CityWorks and GIS systems. Staff described features including a live public map of service requests, automatic routing to the appropriate department, photo attachments, duplicate‑submission prevention, and options for account or anonymous guest submissions. Council asked about data aggregation and reporting; staff confirmed the platform will enable reports by request type and location.
Staff said the SeeClickFix rollout will be accompanied by social media posts, web notices and internal training; council then participated in a ceremonial ribbon‑cutting for the platform.
