Missoula robotics team showcases program, fundraising needs and upcoming reveal

The students said each participant expected to raise approximately $1,000 to cover travel and competition costs through sponsorships, volunteering and fundraising activities.
Students highlighted community service—support for food banks, displaying robots at community events, and mentoring smaller FIRST LEGO League teams. The team announced a Robot Reveal event scheduled for March 7 at Sentinel High School and invited trustees and community members to attend.
Trustees asked about gender balance (the students said the team currently has three female members and is working to recruit more) and robot specifications (projected final weight ~115 pounds). There was no formal action tied to the presentation.
