Board approves consent agenda, instructional materials and land purchase; all votes unanimous

The Cache County School Board recorded three unanimous electronic votes on Feb. 19: approval of a long consent agenda, approval of updated instructional materials (following committee review), and approval of a land purchase for a CAPS facility in North Logan.

President Terry Rhodes moved approval of the consent agenda; the motion was seconded and the board voted electronically with the motion passing unanimously, the meeting record shows. Later, a motion to approve the updated instructional materials and committee report was moved and seconded; that motion also passed unanimously in an electronic vote.

A third motion — to approve purchase of a 5.32-acre parcel in North Logan for $1,862,000 using Catalyst grant funds — was moved, seconded and approved by electronic vote. The business administrator noted an appraisal of approximately $1,900,000 and confirmed the district’s Catalyst Center grant award will fund the acquisition and the planned CAPS facility.
