The Greendale School District board on Monday approved routine business including minutes, checks and disbursements, midyear budget amendments and personnel actions after hearing a January financial report from Business Director Jonathan Mitchell.
"On the revenue side, within the operational budget, we're about $800,000 ahead of where we were last year," Mitchell said, attributing the variance to the mix of January property tax payments and revenue assignment to Fund 10. He added that expenditures were slightly above budget year‑to‑date (42.22% versus 40.78% last year) but described the overall position as on track.
A motion to approve checks and disbursements in the amount of $3,000,003.99 was moved and seconded; a roll call recorded 'yes' votes from members present and the motion passed. The board also approved the 2025–26 budget amendments discussed by Mitchell — adjustments reflecting federal grant transfers, additional technology and audio purchases, and increased tuition for the Greendale Global pilot program — noting the amendments aim to add roughly 1% to the district's fund balance by year end.
The board approved personnel actions including a teacher resignation and administrative reemployment as listed in agenda item 4.4. Several other consent items were approved by roll call earlier in the meeting, including a village cooperative agreement for fiber‑line maintenance and a parent transportation contract payment required by law.
