Council approves finance director and permits/planning director appointments

A resolution (Summary 25) approved the parish president’s appointment of a finance director with an established salary of $120,000. Council members said they had reviewed the candidate's resume and noted experience in budget, procurement, payroll and grant finance.
A separate resolution (Summary 26) approved the appointment of Andrea Blair as director of permits, planning and zoning, with an established salary of $82,000. Blair introduced herself at the meeting and said she will begin work in the role; council members welcomed her and there were no objections on the floor.
Both appointments passed by voice vote in committee and were confirmed by the full council during the meeting.
