Iberia Medical Center outlines equipment upgrades and $12 million expansion at North Campus

Viator said the hospital has added diagnostic imaging and specialized equipment and is planning a $12 million project over the next several years to add medical, surgical and adult psychiatric beds at the North Campus. She described the North Campus as a growing community asset with services that reduce travel to Lafayette for many patients.
The hospital representative said an audit was ongoing and expected to be complete in February or March; she offered to return to the council in a few months with more detailed financial information and to showcase construction progress once additional spaces are in use.
Council members praised the hospital and asked that the hospital’s services be publicized so constituents know what is available locally.
