"We are extremely grateful for the continued support from the Shakopee Educational Endowment Foundation every single year," Artaberry said, crediting the annual grant cycle with allowing staff to buy and rotate instructional materials used across buildings.
Block said SEEF received requests from every building and noted new applications this year from early‑childhood screening and summer‑school programs. Board members responded with thanks; no formal vote was required for the presentation.
The presentation underscored an ongoing partnership between the district and its community foundations to bridge budget shortfalls and support hands‑on learning in career and technical education, literacy, and special education. The board will publish the SEEF grant booklet in the board packet and cited the check presentation as a regular part of the district's community‑funding mix.
