Kayla Carr explained the change to the board, saying the policy previously “mentioned her by name, and we’ve cleaned that up to just refer to the assistant secretary.” The amendment was presented as a cleanup to correct an individual reference; no change to the procedure for submitting comments was described.
Speaker 1 moved to approve the change and a second was recorded. Members voted by voice; those present responded “aye,” and Speaker 1 announced the item was approved. No requests for public comment had been received at the start of the meeting.
The revision updates internal contact language in the TSSBA public comment procedure; no additional procedural changes, implementation timeline, or further actions were specified at the meeting.
