"Marybeth, your determination, work ethic, and willingness to help others has not gone unnoticed," Logan said.
The council and Chief Kahili recognized Detective Annie Maresca as the 2025 Officer of the Year. Presenters credited Maresca with work on complex investigations that "has made a real difference in our community" and noted she holds instructor certifications including defensive tactics instruction.
Mr. Logan presented the 2025 Distinguished Service Award to Katie Smicon for long-term excellence in court operations, describing her as a trusted problem-solver who helps maintain accuracy and integrity in the court department.
The Bob Fuller Leadership Award was presented to Councilman Whitaker for steady leadership, efforts to strengthen partnerships and for fostering constructive dialogue among elected officials and partners.
