Fairfax County, Washington Gas outline repairs and monitoring after Quail Pond Court explosion

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Chief Craven said county responders logged 362 individual unit responses, about 2,182 hours of firefighter service and a combined total of roughly 5,000 command‑staff hours during the incident response. "We have supported the NTSB's investigation in the systematic testing and repairs completed by Washington Gas," Craven said, describing repeated leak surveys, home‑by‑home assessments and staged clearances for reoccupation.
