Board approves consent items, contracts, expulsions and personnel settlements

The Mobile County Public School System board used consolidated motions to approve several groups of routine but consequential items at its Feb. 25 meeting.

After amending the agenda to add several items, the board approved action items G‑39 through G‑51 by voice vote. Action G‑39 authorizes an easement to Alabama Power to install and maintain electric lines for district facilities. Action G‑31 authorizes replacement of a chiller at Grand Bay Middle School; the transcript records the lowest bidder as James Donahue at $949,400 to be funded from A&T funds. Action G‑32 approves a three‑year lease of the former Sam's Bridal School to the health department.
