Board approves superintendent recommendations, finance and personnel items; revised calendar adopted

At the conclusion of public comment, the Neptune Township Board of Education moved through a consent agenda and recorded roll-call approvals on a series of administrative and operational items.

Motions approved included the superintendent’s report (document A, items 1–12), finance recommendations (document B1 items), transportation items (document B3 items 1–4), education special projects (document C1 items 1–2), special-education recommendation (document C2 item 1), and personnel recommendations (document D1 items 1–21). A board member asked to abstain during the personnel discussion, and the roll call subsequently recorded the vote as carried. The board also approved the schedule of meetings and, under new business, adopted a revised calendar that lists April 3 and April 6 as abbreviated days and sets June 22 as an abbreviated end-of-year date.

All motions were moved and seconded on the record and passed with roll-call 'Aye' votes from the members listed on the transcript. The board closed the meeting with an adjournment motion and an invitation to attend the high-school musical.
