The Northfield Town Select Board voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a liquor license and an outdoor-consumption permit for Omaty's Deli and Cafe and to pass municipal financial items including warrants and payroll.
The board approved the liquor license by voice vote (5–0) after a motion to approve was made and seconded. Shortly after, the board approved an outdoor-consumption permit to allow cordoned sidewalk tables for the business; members discussed ensuring the area is cordoned off and compliant with the state open-container rules before voting.
In routine financial business the board approved warrants 18–25 and 18–25 a–c totaling $293,653.63. Board members identified a budgeted defibrillator entry and noted capital improvements previously authorized in the CIP. The board also received the biweekly payroll for March 3–16, 2025, recorded at $122,488.69.
The meeting packet also included a slate of administrative appointments. The Select Board approved two town appointments as presented, with brief thanks to the volunteers who offered to serve.
