Mike moved and Will seconded the motion to approve the first reading; a second reading will occur at the next meeting before final adoption.
Funding match for America250 civic event Catherine Scott requested the county match a $750 city contribution to light two civic lamps for an America250 kickoff celebration. A motion to match the city's $750 for the event passed by voice vote.
Administrative and capital project authorizations The court authorized Jim to proceed with revised drawings for a planned community building (using existing church plans as a template) and asked that updated plans be returned for review. The court also approved routine invoices, bills and transfers from the packet and deferred one change-order clarification until next week.
Grant application authorization With a short deadline, the court authorized staff to work with a nonprofit sponsor (Spencer County Fast Pitch Softball or similar) to submit a Lowe’s community grant application, contingent on the county attorney’s advice regarding strings or conditions.
Executive session The court voted to enter executive session under KRS 61.810(1)(f) to discuss matters that might lead to appointment, discipline or dismissal of an employee.
