Planning staff and consultant Brett summarized outreach (about 2,700 survey responses), mapping adjustments and final edits. Key changes carried forward included a revised downtown framework diagram, modest language additions emphasizing housing diversity and multimodal transportation, and insertion of a conceptual map for the Frederick Central Loop in chapter 6. Planning Commission conditions — adding the loop map and listing senior housing in desired housing mixes — were included in the final document.
Why it matters: Ratification provides the planning foundation for forthcoming land‑use code updates, downtown planning and subarea work on the Weld County Road 19 corridor. Staff said the plan will guide CIP priorities and evaluate future land‑use requests.
Board action: Trustees moved, seconded and ratified the Planning Commission's approval with conditions; the motion passed 6–0. Staff will memorialize the ratification as a resolution and proceed with code updates and subarea planning.
