Council clears Myers Park Phase 5 plat, calls for stub connector completion in spring

Engineer Miss Pushoff told council: "That plat's about, 21.2 acres. That's 53 single family homes." She said all public utilities have been installed, inspected and approved except for a stub connector across State Route 179, which she said would be completed in the spring. The council waived the three-reading requirement and passed the ordinance declaring an emergency to allow immediate recording and next steps.
Council members recorded voice votes in favor of waiving the readings and then adopting the ordinance. The adoption includes direction for Engineering to complete the connector work and return with status updates; the meeting record notes a planned due-window in spring for the connector work.
The plat approval clears the way for recordation of the subdivision dedication; the engineer also noted a related RFP for a construction manager-at-risk on the Hoffman project is in process, with proposals due in mid- to late-January (transcript: due on the nineteenth as discussed).
