Commissioners approve contingency transfer to cover missed medical director payment

"I'm not asking for additional money, just money that wasn't spent," Landon said, explaining he had discussed the matter with the procurement officer and county administrators and expected the error to be corrected going forward. A commissioner moved to approve allocating $7,200 from contingency funds as outlined; the motion was seconded and the ayes carried on voice vote.
The transfer was authorized for immediate processing so the county can pay the medical director for the unpaid FY25 period; Landon said he would work with finance and procurement to prevent a recurrence.
What happens next: Finance staff will process the contingency transfer and the Office of Emergency Services will confirm payment. No additional budget increase was requested.
