The council next confirmed Virginia Cyphers as assistant secretary by unanimous vote. The selection of the borough solicitor was closer: after nominations that included Flagler and Associates and Kilkenny Law (various spellings appear in the record), the council appointed Leggett and Associates as solicitor; the motion passed 5–4. Gilmore and Associates was approved as borough engineer by an 8–0 vote. Barry Isette was appointed borough building inspection and zoning officer, fire marshal and code enforcement officer by unanimous vote.
