Radnor finance committee reviews contracts, advances appointment to Intermediate Unit board

"We have a number of contracts for approval this evening," Mister Pauling said as he summarized the list for the committee. The MCIU contract was itemized: roughly $26,000 for one student, $49,000 for a second and $75,000 for a third, which together make up the stated $151,695 total.
The committee discussed counseling services provided by Lakeside Youth. Mister Pauling corrected the agenda language and said the contract covers 3.4 full‑time equivalent (FTE) counselor positions during the school day across the year, explaining that the district has used Lakeside in prior years because the vendor brings specialized training and staffing capacity the district has not otherwise been able to fill in‑house. A committee member noted a typographical error in the Lakeside contract end date as printed on the board agenda; Mister Pauling said the district will correct that item for the board package.
The administration also noted that an old band trailer the district has held for several years will be donated to Penn Delco School District’s marching band. Mister Pauling characterized the package as part of normal technology and services refresh and said the contracts and the donation will proceed through the board agenda process.
On a separate, related item, Mister Pauling introduced a resolution to submit the district’s sending representative to the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (the IU board votes to confirm representatives). He said Dr. Babson will continue in that role beginning July 1; the committee advanced that submission as the first part of the IU appointment process.
Items discussed at the finance committee will be included on the upcoming board agenda for formal board consideration; the committee did not record roll‑call votes in the hearing transcript.
