Radnor Township School District’s human-resources director told the curriculum committee on May 13 that the district has broadened its recruiting outreach and will commission an external HR audit this summer to identify improvements in hiring and interview processes.
Mr. Stitzel said HR expanded the job-fair footprint across the state, brings resumes of promising applicants to central-office staff and follows up when positions post. He said the district included school administrators on recruiting visits this year and added Kelly Bourne to HR recruiting efforts.
Stitzel said the district has contracted PASBO to conduct an HR audit this summer; auditors Mark Holman and Bobby Billman will review interview questions, identify pinch points in the process and recommend training. "They're going to pick us apart and see what we can do to improve," Stitzel said. The central-office team will review audit findings and schedule trainings based on recommendations.
Board members praised the audit and asked for a future update on efforts to improve workforce diversity and hiring outcomes; administrators said audit results and follow-up will be shared after the PASBO review and subsequent central-office planning.
