Sterling Heights adopts zoning changes creating neighborhood and district 'nodes'

Councilmembers praised the planning department for innovation citing prior coverage in local media and noted the change is intended to revive underused corner properties and provide flexibility for new uses.
Both the ordinance text amendment and the zoning-map amendment were moved, supported and carried by voice vote during the meeting.
