Chair Garrison called the House Rules and Ethics Committee to order Thursday and presented two special-order letters setting the agenda for the March 3 and March 4 floor sessions.
Garrison said the letters were issued "as required by our rules" and noted that each document includes negotiated time allocations for questions and debate. With no members requesting debate and no public testimony, the committee adopted both special-order letters by voice vote.
The chair reminded members that the amendment deadline for both sessions is tomorrow. "Main amendments must be submitted to House Bill Drafting by 3 p.m. and approved for filing by 4 p.m.," Garrison said. He added that hearing amendments must be submitted to House Bill Drafting by 6:30 p.m. and approved for filing by 7 p.m.
Representative Tant moved to adjourn, and the committee closed the meeting shortly thereafter. No substantive policy discussion, testimony, or changes to the special-order letters were recorded during the session.
The committee did not record individual roll-call votes for the adoptions beyond a voice vote and reported that Saltzman was excused during roll call.
