A representative of the local management board told the panel they were comfortable working with the state office and that recent state regulations had been released; neighboring jurisdictions had reported delays from the state office but the county speaker did not foresee a fundamental obstacle if the county could thoroughly document planned uses.
Commissioners moved and seconded approval during the consent-proceedings portion of the meeting; the vote was recorded as unanimous. County staff noted the plan’s parameters had been developed with legislative assistance and that if the state enacts new requirements, local implementation would follow state guidance.
The board did not adopt detailed contingency language at the meeting; staff said they planned to follow up if state guidance required adjustments.
