Berkeley SD 87 board refuses to concur with teacher resignation, approves multiple hires and leaves

Board President (unnamed) told the Berkeley School District 87 Board of Education on Aug. 18 that the board would move to refuse to concur with the resignation submitted by Louis/Luis Ramos, a science teacher at McArthur Middle School, because the resignation arrived within 30 days of the start of the school year. "If the state superintendent or their designee finds that a teacher resigned during the school term without the concurrence of the board ... the state superintendent is being asked to suspend that teacher's license," the president said during discussion of the resolution.
