Newberry building that will include the Black Moon Public House, a retail “Trio” store run by Leslie Harlow and a vinyl record shop by Matt Manry. “The overall business that we've taken over is the old JJ Newberry's location… it's called the Newberry Exchange, and there's three businesses within the one building,” the applicant said during remarks to the council.
Council members asked about an opening date; the applicant said licensing is still in process and that an opening will be set once required permits and licenses are complete. The council congratulated the applicant and wished the business well.
The approval authorizes the applicant to seek the state restaurant liquor license noted on the agenda and to operate under the city class B license; the applicant and staff did not specify a firm opening date.
